Palin/McCain for president!

Not really. But that's the way the presidential ticket is in most people's heads. Everybody is talking about how great of a choice it was for McCain to choose Palin as his running mate.

Let's just talk about Palin in this post. She alone is the reason why an intelligent person wouldn't and shouldn't vote for the McCain/Palin ticket.

Lets look at some facts about Palin.

1. Sarah Palin didn't write the speech she was given credit to by major media outlets as being a "great speech" at the Republican National Convention. Mathew Scully did. He was the speech writer for George W. Bush, Dan Quayle, and Dick Cheney.

So in other words...she is a "great" newscaster and teleprompter reader.

2. Was elected Mayor of the town of Wasilla in 1999 by a mere 909 votes. (Click on City Documents-Recently Requested-Former Mayor Palin, then click on Election Results) Not a margin of 909, just 909 votes period. Wasilla's population is 5,469.

So 1/5 of the population voted for her.

3. Was merely a mayor a little less than 2 years ago.

4. Is now Governor of the state of Alaska. Alaska's entire population is 683,478 . Just for perspective, the city of Chicago, Illinois has a population of 2,836,658.

Oh and just for the sake of it. The population of The United States Of America is 305,349,000. So she wants to take the vice helm of a country that has a population 446 times the population of Alaska the state she governs.

5. Asked a librarian if she could live with censorship of library books.

You know who else tossed around the idea of censorship as conversational rhetoric? Adolf Hitler. He was also Time Magazine's Man of the Year in 1938.

6. Sarah addressed the Alaska Independence Party, a group who aims to have Alaska secede from the Union. Watch her address below:


By the way. Her husband Todd Palin has been a registered member of the Alaska Independance Party twice in the past 10 years. So how does that work? Palin says "God bless" to a party that wants to break up the union and then runs for vice president? William H. Seward would hang his head in shame and is probably turning in his grave.

7. Sarah Palin is being investigated for abuse of power. Watch the newscast below:


I have to ask a question. Would you let someone run and manage your bank if they were being investigated for abuse of power?

8. Frank Bailey, a member of Palin's Administration has backed out of testifying in court, which will stall the above mentioned investigation till after the general election.

Of course. What else is Palin to do other than try to stall it till after the election. She is an elected official. A spokesperson for the people. This case should be an open book for the people whom she represents. What does she have to hide?

9. The McCain campaign claims that Sarah has relevant executive experience commanding her National Guard. The Alaskan governor is not in charge of foreign National Guard operations, and Sarah never issued any orders to the National Guard.

10. Cindy McCain (John McCain's wife) and Steve Doocy (FOX News) both claim Palin's foreign policy experience is because Alaska is right next to Russia. Watch the clips below:




So...if she stands next to John McCain, does that make her a Prisoner of War? Does that give the governors of Texas, Florida, and all the states on the northern border foreign policy experience?

11. Sarah sued the government to remove the 'at risk' status of Polar Bears on the endangered species list.

Sarah Palin says "Fuck Animals!"(There is no record that Sarah Palin ever said this)

12. Sarah Palin is against sex education (except abstinence). Palin believes abortion should be illegal even in cases of rape.

What's funny is that she failed with the abstinence policy in her own home. Her daughter got pregnant out of wedlock. Is Palin going to own up to her failed policies, as they obviously didn't work at home, and change them?

13. Sarah Palin got her passport for the first time in 2007.

14. Sarah Palin admitted just last year that she 'hadn't really focused much on the war in Iraq'. (Go down to the 8th ABM question)

She better study quick! A little more than 4 weeks away and you might be dealing with it Sarah! Oh wait she is studying up on foreign policy, good for her! But seriously, the Vice President sits on the National Security Council. What advice could Palin possibly offer McCain? There might as well be an empty seat at the table.

15. In August of this year Sarah Palin had a $15,000,000 Ice Arena built in her town of Wasilla. The project is botched and the town of Wasilla is is still paying for it.

So much for conservative spending eh?

And finally, if you don't care about any of the above, I urge you to watch this video. Can anyone say with a straight face that Sarah Palin is the best and the brightest we have in this country? Would anyone dare insult America like that? I don't think so after you watch this clip.


This answer should simply disqualify her from the race. Game over. Go home.

This is unacceptable. She has no idea what Hamas is or what their role in the Gaza Strip is. No idea. This person must not be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office. You must tell every voter in every swing state that we cannot make this kind of mistake. The greatest country on earth cannot allow a person this ignorant to be our leader. We have to be better than this.
